电动机可通过采用铝合金外壳等途径降低电动机的质量,各种控制装置和冷却系统的材料等也应尽可能选用轻质材料。电动汽车驱动电动机要求有高的比功率(电动机单位质量的输出功率)和在较宽的转速和转矩范围内都有较高的效率,以实现降低车重,延长续驶里程;而工业驱动电动机通常对比功率、效率及成本进行综合考虑,在额定工作点附近对效率进行优化。电动机应具有较大的启动转矩和较大范围的调速性能,以满足启动、加速、行驶、减速、制动等所需的功率与转矩。电动机应具有自动调速功能,以减轻驾驶员的操纵强度,提高驾驶的舒适性,并且能够达到与内燃机汽车加速踏板同样的控制响应。

The motor shall have large starting torque and wide range of speed regulation performance to meet the power and torque required for starting, accelerating, driving, decelerating, braking, etc. The motor shall have the function of automatic speed regulation to reduce the driver's control intensity, improve the driving comfort, and achieve the same control response as the accelerator pedal of the internal combustion engine vehicle.
